Duties

The Administration Department, under the supervision of the County Manager, provides direction and supervision of all departments under the Board of Commissioners general control.

Responsibilities


  • Serves as a liaison to the Board of Commissioners, county departments, and citizens.
  • Oversees the development and administration of the annual budget.
  • Develops strategies for improving public services.

County Manager Zee Lamb



Zee Lamb became County Manager of Nash County in December of 2013. Previously, he served in this role for both Chowan and Bertie County. His experience in county government goes back to the 80s when he was elected as County Commissioner of Pasquotank County and served from 1988-1997. A graduate of Duke University and the UNC School of Law, Lamb previously worked in State Government as Legal Counsel and Senior Policy Adviser for the Office of Lt. Governor and General Counsel to the NC State Board of Elections.


Grants & Intergovernmental Relations

The Grants and Intergovernmental Relations Office is located within the Administration Department and focuses on bringing in grant funds to further the goals of the Board of Commissioners.  They also administer programs from home rehabilitation to citizen involvement.
