Nash Soil and Water Conservation District is a subdivision of state government that is responsible for establishing a conservation program that meets the natural resource concerns of Nash County.
Responsibilities
This program consists of setting priorities for conservation work within the county, providing technical and financial assistance for installing best management practices (BMP) on local farmland, providing soil survey and land use information for landowners, and to conduct environmental education to interest groups. The district also works closely with other agencies to assist customers with the wise use of natural resources.
