Child Day Care Services


Purchase quality day care services which provide protection, care and developmental experiences to children ages birth to 13 in the child's own home, in the home of a caregiver, or in a day care facility. It enables parents to be gainfully employed, in training as well as provides a resource to prevent child abuse and neglect and out of home placement of children. Child Support


Child Support assures that children receive adequate parental support by locating absent parents, establishing paternity, medical and financial support obligations and enforcing court ordered support obligations. For more information, please call 252-459-9864.

Pregnancy Services


Pregnancy Services provides counseling to individuals involved with an unplanned pregnancy to help them look at alternative solutions to the current situation as well as possible consequences of each alternative. Services may also include residential care in a Maternity Home, where room, board, medical supervision and medications are provided. For more information, please call 252-459-1256.



Family Support Services


Family Support Services are designed to promote the well-being of children and families, to increase the strength and stability of families, to increase parents' confidence and competence in their parenting abilities, to afford children a stable and supportive family environment, and otherwise to enhance child development.

Payee Services for Children manages benefits for minors in jeopardy of being deprived of basic needs when appointed by Social Security Administration. For more information, please call 252-459-1285.


Protective Services for Children


Protective Services facilitates the investigation of reports of neglect, abuse or dependency of children under the age 18, evaluation of the degree of damage or risk to the child, cooperation with law enforcement agencies to obtain suitable care and services for children in or out of their own homes and initiation of court action where necessary.
