Nash County Planning Board

The Nash County Planning Board is a land use advisory board appointed by the Board of Commissioners as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 160D-301 to make development recommendations concerning zoning map amendments, conditional zoning map amendments, subdivision waiver requests, and amendments to both the Unified Development Ordinance and the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The Planning Board also reviews and approves major subdivision proposals.


Meeting Schedule

The Nash County Planning Board meets regularly on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Room on the third floor of the Nash County Administration Building located at 120 West Washington Street, Nashville, NC 27856. All meetings of the Planning Board are open to the public.

Members

The Nash County Planning Board consists of nine county residents appointed to serve for three-year staggered terms. Members may be reappointed to serve up to three successive terms. The Planning Board elects a chairman and vice-chairman at its first regular meeting in July of each year.
