Posted on: June 21, 2017[ARCHIVED] Municipal Candidate Filing
Candidate filing for the municipalities located in Nash County will begin at Noon on Friday, July 7th. Filing will continue until Noon on Friday, July 21st. Registered voters who wish to run for office should visit the Nash County Board of Elections Office during this time, complete the required paperwork and pay the filing fee. All filing forms and fees must be received in this office by the close of filing.
*Note: It is anticipated that the NC Legislature will, in the next couple of weeks, pass a law that may shorten the filing period by a few days. If this occurs we will post that information on this site.
